Ashburn Shooting Stars Gold Alumni Fastpitch Classic
Softball Skills and Recruiting Camp
Sunday, May 20th
Stone Bridge High School
2:00-4:00
(Alumni Game 12:00-1:30)
SKILLS:
Is my throwing motion correct?
How can I improve my swing?
How do I become a travel player?
I want to play at the next level. What skills do I need to master?
Should I learn to drag from the Left?
What’s the best defense against a rise-ball pitcher?
Learn skills from the experts
The Ashburn Shooting Stars Gold has been turning out All-Met players consistently since 2008. All of our athletes are star players for their respective High School teams and have been extremely successful playing in college. Is this an accident, or the result of hard work and good coaching? We have assembled the best professional coaches in Northern Virginia to bring you a unique clinic.
This one is different. We will evaluate any skill that you wish to improve and provide an honest skill command assessment (SCA). We will work with you on the correct way to execute the skill, demonstrate the drills that you will need to correct or improve and provide a list of both Drills and Exercises that will allow you to move up to the next level.
COACHING:
How should I organize my batting lineup?
What is the best defensive scheme against the short game?
What are the best practice drills for my age group?
How do I correct a particular skill or motion?
Learn to be a better skills coach
If I only knew then what I know now………….
The Ashburn Shooting Stars Gold has won over 600 games, is nationally ranked and has coached at the Gold level for many years. Pick our brains and learn the secrets of coaching elite athletes. Benefit from our successes (and our failures) by taking this opportunity to learn from the best in the region.
RECRUITING;
How do I get recruited to play College Softball?
Hard work and smart decisions!
Learn recruiting from experts.
The Ashburn Shooting Stars Gold 18u has been under the same management and coaching since 2001. Ranked 74 in the country, the Gold Stars have secured over $1,000,000 in scholarship monies (2008 – 2011) and are on track to crest 1.5 million by 2013. Since 2008, we have sent 46 athletes to College Softball Programs, 29 of which are at the Division 1 level. Accolades from our college players have included conference player of the week, conference player of the year, conference rookie of the year and outstanding Female Athlete of the year, to name a few. We understand what it takes to become an elite athlete and get recruited at the collegiate level. We will take the time to answer all of your questions and will provide you with a road-map for recruiting. You will learn exactly
what you need to do and
when it needs to be done.
The event is free but donations will be accepted to support the Shooting Stars team. There will be refreshments, a 50/50 raffle and prizes between each inning of the Alumni game.
Registration for the clinics is free, but we ask that you complete a form prior to May 20 by going to
www.shootingstars18.com.
